Finally did something I've been meaning to do ever since I started working...which was to sponsor a child from World Vision. Was so excited to go and collect details of my sponsored child and see his/her picture (hahahahaha....like a dad seeing his child for the first time). The office asked me whether I wanted a boy/girl and I said whichever...never really mattered to me. So, my sponsor child's name is Nikolaus, Martius Loverdius (pretty awesome name!!!) from Indonesia and only 8 years old. It felt really good to be able to sponsor this kid and use some of my hard-earned working money for a greater purpose other than buying working clothes, paying bills...etc. Was also reading some background about his village. Just imagine, how much we spend a day equals to what they earn per month and how much we earn per month equals to how much they earn per year. It's really sad and heartbreaking to see the lines of separation between the poor and the rich. I never wanna take for granted the blessings I have in my life; the food on my table, the clothes I wear and the roof above my head. Thank You Lord for all these things and more, even the opportunity to be able to sponsor this child and make a difference in his life.
