The weekend is hear...bring on the celebrations!!! Guess what? I finally saw X-men 3: The Last Stand! But, before I get into that, me and Li-Na decided to checkout this restaurant called Delicious (no pun intended, but thats what the restaurant is called) in 1Utama, Second Wing. We read the reviews in Star newspaper and I must say, the food there is excellent.
Evidence No. 1: The really good and yummy lamb shank pie I've ordered.
Evidence No. 2: The delicious and tasty duck pasta that Li-Na ordered
Any more proof you need? Come and see me for reviews. On a plus side, the price ain't that bad too. If any of you have the chance to tried it, go ahead.
Moving along to what I really think of X3: The Last Stand, I can frankly tell you, I'm downright disappointed with Brent Ratner. Considering what an excellent job Mr. Bryan Singer did with the first two X-Men, Brent Ratner destroyed X3. I know I'm being a little harsh here, but as I grew up reading the comics and watching the cartoon, the movie is more of a shallow piece of just action and display of mutant powers (which is quite cool in some scenes). Brent Ratner has taken out the emotional appeal and depth of the first two movies and also in the comics. Cmon, with the whole Dark Phoenix and the 'Cure' storyline, there should be more emotions and conflict that comes with it. Sadly, both are missing. Another complaint is how the director tried to squeeze every mutant in and not developing some vital ones such as Angel. Juggernaut is seriously ridiculous and stupid, with a funny accent. However, I would still recommend people to watch it and if you guys do, please please wait till the end of the credits. There's a scene there you don't wanna miss.On the way home, the weather was really crazy. It has been raining cats and dogs here for the past three days. It felt like a storm with the heavy rain and howling wind. As I'm typing this, it is pouring cats and dogs again!

Yes!!! Brett Ratner destroyed X-Men!!! He killed off Xavier and Magneto!! My goodness! Xavier died such a meaningless death, along with Scott Summer and Jean Grey!.. sighsss
The character development isn't there, the plot isn't there, there's no depth in any character in the show, and it feels totally like a B-grade movie. What a tragic death to 2 great great movies in X-Men 1 & 2.
Chin Wee
P.S. They should never have let any other director other than Bryan Singer direct X-Men. Same goes for Sam Raimi and Spiderman.
